Barcelona's Zoo, in the Parc de la Ciutadella, and the Aquarium, on the Port Vell, are the city's two big family visits, a short metro ride apart. Both charge the same price online and at the door; buying online only saves the queue.

Zoo de Barcelona

The Zoo is open every day of the year and only closes in the afternoon on Christmas Day. On the day we checked it opened 10:00–18:00 with last entry at 17:00; it publishes the current day's hours on its home page. Large-family and single-parent cards get 20% off at the ticket office, and visitors with functional diversity pay €6 with a free companion.
