The past year
A year earlier, on 28 Oct 2025, Foix reservoir was 80.8% full (2.72 hm³). In this page's latest reading, of 28 Oct 2026, it is 53.9% full (1.82 hm³): 26.9 points less.
In the 365 days to 28 Oct 2026, the lowest level was 49.1%, on 15 Sep 2026, and the highest 101.2%, on 8 Mar 2026.
The ACA published readings above 100%: the reservoir held more water than its nominal capacity. We show them as published.
The table gives one reading a month, on day 28 (or the closest valid day before it). It is what happened, not a forecast.

What it is for
Foix regulates the river of the same name to irrigate about 290 hectares in Vilanova i la Geltrú, Sant Pere de Ribes, Cubelles and Cunit, and holds back floods. The ACA lists no drinking-water use for it, and the basin plan describes it as heavily silted, with water and sediment quality problems.

How it relates to drought
The ACA's drought plan sets reservoir thresholds for the Darnius-Boadella, Ter-Llobregat (with the Ter and the Llobregat separately) and Riudecanyes units. Foix is not one of the reservoirs in those indicators.
Reserves falling below a threshold declare nothing by themselves: each stage is declared by an ACA resolution. For today's stage in each area, see the ACA's drought declarations (in Catalan).
How to read these figures
The percentage is the stored volume divided by the reservoir's capacity. One hm³ (cubic hectometre) is a million cubic metres, a billion litres. The water level is the height of the water surface above sea level.
The ACA publishes one reading per reservoir per day on the Generalitat's open-data portal. The current day's figures are pending validation, which is why every figure carries its date.
On some days the ACA publishes more than 100%: the reservoir holds more water than its nominal capacity. We show those as they are.
Questions
- How full is Foix reservoir today?
- Today's figure is at the top of the page, with the date of the reading. The Catalan Water Agency publishes it every day on the Generalitat's open-data portal.
- What is the capacity of Foix reservoir?
- 3.37 hm³, according to the ACA's reservoir status of 28 Oct 2026.
- Which river is Foix reservoir on?
- The Foix, covering land in Castellet i la Gornal.
- Does Foix reservoir count for drought restrictions?
- Not directly: the ACA's drought plan does not use Foix as an indicator for any unit.
