Is 17 May 2027 a public holiday in Catalonia?

Not across Catalonia. Monday 17 May 2027, Whit Monday (Pasqua Granada), is not one of the twelve 2027 holidays (Order EMT/52/2026), but it is a local holiday in at least 17 towns and 5 villages, including Barcelona, l'Hospitalet de Llobregat and Badalona, as approved by their councils (pending the DOGC order).

Outside Catalonia, though, it is a holiday in Galicia, Ceuta and Melilla, according to the BOE's list of 2027 holidays.

Where it is a local holiday, the weekend makes it 3 days off in a row, Saturday 15 to Monday 17 May; the long weekends the largest towns' local holidays make are in long weekends 2027 in Catalonia.
